On-Line Books

System Requirements

Screen Resolution

The CPMIPro On-Line Books system is designed to be used with a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.

Font Size

If the displayed font size is too small or large you can adjust the browser by using one of the following methods.
  1. [Ctrl_+] or [Ctrl_-] (Both the Control key and the '+' or '-' key together.)
  2. While holding down the [Ctrl] key, rotate the mouse wheel.

Shortcut keys

While viewing the On-Line Book pages you may also navigate to the 'Next' or 'Previous' page by using the keyboard keys [Alt n] or [Alt p] (both the [Alt] and the [n] or [p] keys together.)

In some browsers this activates the link, but, in 'Internet Explorer' the appropriate button is only selected and you will then have to use the [Enter] key to confirm.

Internet Browser

Old browser versions may not display optimally. Many versions offer free upgrades.

Or, alternatively, you could install the free "Firefox" browser, versions are available for most operating systems from the Firefox webpage.   (You may need "Administrator" privileges to be able to install software if not using your own computer.)

Cookies

On-Line Books requires that your browser is allowed to set cookies from the cpmipro.com web site. The ability to set cookies allows authentication of the user and adds several features to improve the usability. Most browsers work by default, but if the browser's privacy settings have been changed and set too high, cookies may not be allowed and the On-line Books will not be useable.

Solution
The solution is either lower the settings, or, by adding the 'cpmipro.com' website to the sites allowed to set cookies.

The details of how to do this for the 'Internet Explorer' and 'Firefox' browsers are detailed below. Other browsers have similar settings.
Return to Login page

Internet Explorer Settings

You can allow cookies in 2 ways:
  1. In the browser
  2. Click on "Tools", then "Internet Options".
  3. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
Now could either:

a) Slide the Setting bar so that it is at "Medium High" or below.
On-line Books will not work if this is set above "Medium High".

b) Alternatively, you could specifically allow cookies from cpmipro.com. Click on the "Sites" button to proceed as below.
Internet Explorer Privacy Settings

In "Address of Web site", type in
cpmipro.com
and then click the "Allow" button.

cpmipro.com will show in the "Managed Web sites" as in the example. Make sure that "Always Allow" is shown under "Setting".

This will allow cookies from cpmipro.com regardless of the "Settings" on the slider.

Firefox Settings

  1. In the browser menu
  2. Windows - Go to "Tools-Options", or

If "Allow Sites to set Cookies" is checked, then the On-Line Books should work.
